For some reason I have a craving for a goooood hamburger these days. It all started when I went to McDonalds during a shopping trip to have a quick bite and pfff that was anything but tasty, so I threw it away. Anyway, I already recruited a friend to join me for that, and the place we will go to is Burgermeester. I only went there once (not ones hehe) and I really liked it, especially the mini-burger concept : ) A little weird (in my eyes) are just the happy cows on the wall looking at you while you eating “them” . But it didn´t really distract me too much from enjoying my burger ; )

Today, on my way home, sitting in the metro, I experienced something that has happened before (and I´m sure it will happen again). Lets call it a phenomen; men “sitting” next to you with their legs sooo wide open that you have to squeeze yourself together. Ok, I do get that you guys have something between there that may need some space BUT doing the splits is a little too much! Like seriously what are you thinking?! Today I was too tired to really care but I think that one day I will just do the exact same thing; if a guy feels like he has to sit down next to me and do some stretching I will split right back at him. Haha I am curious what the reaction will be, and hope I wont end up with a black eye or something haha. We will see : ) So, being all annoyed about this I thought about what annoying behavior women tend to come up with in a train and I think it is having their bags on the seat next to them and the train is quiet packed which leads to them giving you a dirty look while taking the bag slowly (!!!) away so you can sit down. WTF?! is all I have to say to that…

Today on my way home from the library (I´m trying to be a good student hehe) I remembered I wanted to buy some deodorant so I decide to make a short (!!!!) stop at the drugstore. The minute I walked in I forgot, I mean really forgot, what I wanted there. (You know, the kind of feeling that one has sometimes walking into lets say the living room, and then not remembering why one went there. One leaves the room again and then it pops up and you go back…or is it only me who experienced that?! ) Anyway, after a few seconds I remembered what I wanted and went (almost) straight to where the desired product is placed. And, of course they don´t only offer 2 or 3 products to choose from noooo there is much more. Seriously I, not being a very decisive person, am facing a big challenge here. First, I skim through all of them, see they don´t have the one I used to have before (that I would have probably bought again because I liked it and that would have lead to the planned short visit in this store…); conclusion: I have to buy another one. One could say go for the cheapest or the middle priced or this or that, but no, its not that easy. Next step then: brand-scanning. Quickly some products were out of the game (for one or the other reason); still many were left. Once I decided which brand to go for I still had to decide which concrete product to get, because they have like all kind of styles (I know it´s just a deodorant) for the same price basically. A little bit later I chose one, no clue why I went for that one then ( I think I tend to go for the „classic“ ones in those situations) …and a little later I left the store with my deodorant (and some other stuff)
( I´m the perfect marketing victim. They had a discount on the John Frieda products, there was no way to not buy one since I always wanted to try this range. No clue where I ended up getting 3 though…and the lotion. I have no idea!!! But yeah I guess one could say I NEED it haha )
After that I went to the supermarket but I managed to pull myself together, but faced similar situations, which brand, which price, and so on … So, i mean you get the same product from all kind of brands for all kind of prices and all kind of qualities ect. How do you decide for which one to go for then? And where is it resonable to spent a little more? Because a high price doesn´t always mean higher quality right ?!

Okay, so I went to get some groceries this morning and on my way back, walking on the sidewalk (still a little tired), a car crashes just in front of me into the house wall ! It was so close to me that it made the granny a few meters behind me cry. I was under a little shock I guess, paralyzed for a few seconds and I felt sick to my stomach afterwards. It was kind of the same feeling I had when the whole gun threat thing happened earlier this year. The driver, a chic woman in her 50s I would say, didn´t really care much, also the damage on her car didn´t seem to bother her. Maybe she gets confused with the break and gas pedal regularly ?! Anyway, after that I was definitely awake and the granny was able to smile again when she realised only the car is damaged. I don´t even wanna imagine how things would have looked like if I had been just two steps ahead. Definitely a blessing in disguise situation that made me be thankful for what I have, and I guess thats a good thing : )
