As I am making my way across the Atlantic this saturday to work and live in New York for the next 2 months, I decided to dedicate my next posts to the city that never sleeps. I start with some works by Charles W. Cushman who took these amazing shots during the very beginning of color photography in the early 40ies. It is absolutely fascinating to see a world you regularly know from black and white pictures or movies in a colored way, which is giving you a totally new view on the life, style and atmosphere of this time.
