UNITED COLOURS is a new party dedicated to tropical Tech-House from around the world - brought to you by Berlin label EXPLOITED. Expect to hear the likes of Mastiksoul, Solo, Renaissance Man, Riva Starr, Nick & Danny Chatelain, M.in&Patrick Kunkel, Wareika, dOP, Mujava, Kid Creole And the Coconuts, Mosca, Untold, Douster and much more - all mixed up with current and classic house, techno, acid, elektro, garage, dubstep, UK funky and gipsy. The main room we will have DJ Superstars Brodinski from France, Renaissance Man - the two smart producer guys from Helsinki and Exploited label head Shir Khan.
The lounge will be taken over by Party Arty. Party Arty fuses art, spoken word and an eclectic mix of cutting edge music since nearly 7 years on Berlin's underground scene. Street Art, academic painters, poets and short story writers perform, drink and dance with elektro djs nad forward thinking b-boys. Party Arty host Yaneq and his longtime buddy Shir Khan join forces and throw Brazil´s Baile Funk Pioneer DJ CHERNOBYL, Berlin Superclub Booty Bass master DJ ANDRÉ HERZIG and GAUCHO into the musical mix, stirr - not shake - it up gently with the sculptures and stencils of EMESS and blend in the poetry of young Berliner JULIAN HEUN + DANIEL HOTH so the cocktail doesn't draw that much water. Another artist and another poet are tbc.It's raw! It's dirty! It's loud! It's Party Arty Exploited!!

2009 was a good year for EXPLOITED with heavy releases from Minimow (Mowgli), Zoo Brazil, Basti Grub, Malente&Dex, Adam Sky, Lorenz Rhode, Chernobyl and a labelcompilation by Shir Khan (CD of the month in Mixmag&DJ-Mag) as well as various features on big compilations. 2010 is going to be heavy! For now grab the free Renaissance Man Remix of Chernobyl which was already posted some time ago at Mad Decent, The Fader and Discobelle.
Since 1995 Dj Chernobyl has had a profound effect on the direction of Brazil's music scene.
He is a pioneer and responsible for bringing Baile Funk (brazilian booty beat) to the world of rock through his band "Comunidade Nin-Jitsu", influencing Edu K to produce his world famous hit "Popozuda".
Chernobyl discovered and signed Bonde do Role, produced their album, introduced them to Diplo (who released them on his Mad Decent label) and has produced most of the tracks on their album ‘With Lasers‘, out on Domino Records.
In 2009 he met Portuguese producers Pedro (Radio Fazuma/Dj Mpula) and Beat Laden from BATIDA who introduced him to PRAGA from Cabo Verde. Chernobyl started editing Baile Funk beats for Praga and made a new Baile Funk vibe mixing his beatbox with Brazilian beats, adding crazy synths and Baile Funk horns to it. BALANÇA has a new balance as this sound mixes Afro-Portugese Raps, American Hip Hop-melodies, Brazilian beats, European Electro noises and Ragga snares.

I had such a good time in Thailand I nearly forgot about blogging for a second. However - if you are in town you could come to Weekendclub today (Me and Digitalism spinning). Normally I dont like if a club makes a liverecording of my DJ-Set - especially if you dont know it before. Suddenly a DJ-set of yours appears online....and you are not happy with it because nobody knew you were fucked up or told you that this particular girl was asking for Paul Kalkbrenner non-stop:( which kind of made you mess up your set. On the other hand sometimes I am glad if there is a recording - because it cant get any realer. Well - at Cubic Club in Salamanca (Spain) my Set was recorded and I didnt know before. It was definetly not my best set and also not my most advanced. But to make a long story short.....as we are already heading to the year 2010 - I thought that this set includes a lot of sureshots from 2009....so here you go. Get your Shir Khan dose. A warm hello to all of you from Bangkok.
