CHRIS READ & MARC HYPE present…
WORLD’S GREATEST CHRISTMAS MIXTAPE

The self styled ‘Mixtape Champion of the World’, Chris Read joins forces with MPM Recording Artist and 2 time ITF Champion Marc Hype to present what they’re humbly calling ‘The World’s Greatest Christmas Mixtape’;

These two seasoned DJs and record collectors have produced two mixes which take in everything that Christmas music has to offer, from Funk, Soul, Jazz and Hip Hop to Children’s records, Reggae and Latin with a handful of better known Christmas classics thrown in for good measure.

All intended to be taken in good humour and a dose of Christmas cheer, ‘The World’s Greatest Christmas Mixtape’ is the alternative soundtrack to Christmas.

Chris Read is currently working on a new live / studio project anticipated for release in 2010.  Marc Hype and Jim Dunloop’s Album ‘Stamp Out Reality’ on MPM records is in stores now.  Both Chris Read and Marc Hype will tour extensively in 2010.

Vibe was a music and entertainment magazine founded by producer Quincy Jones. The publication predominantly featured hip-hop music artists, actors and other entertainers. Issued monthly, the magazine’s target demographic was predominantly young, urban followers of hip-hop culture.

On June 30, 2009, it was announced that Vibe was shutting its doors and ceasing publication immediately, although according to Essence, Quincy Jones has stated he would like to keep it alive online.

Now Google Books released the whole backstock from 1993-2008 online.

For over 35 years, Soul Train reigned as the “hippest trip in America,” kicking down barriers and irrevocably changing the face of television.

From its 1971 premiere, the show offered a window into black culture, introducing a nation to music and dance, which they had never seen. An arbiter of taste and style from the start—if you were hot enough for the public to want to see you, then you earned a ticket on the Soul Train.
